I was on the phone with my customer service gal Gwen today, and we had no sooner taken care of whatever it was, and she asks me that question.
She’s signed up for the 5 and 5 too, and wanted to know what I was going to do with MY Give account money.
I’ve been thinking about it. She’s been thinking about it too. So have others based on the comments here. I’m waiting until the 90 days is up to give it away though. Bigger is more fun. AND I’m keeping some in that Give account so I can go another 90 days if I love it this go-round.
This is so, like WOW! Here are a group of people, most of whose #1 worry is probably money, talking about who they’re going to give their money to (!!)
It sends the brain an entirely new message. A calmness and feeling of control rules. No matter what the actual money situation is.
Weird. Cool.
Your experience?

Hi I’ve been giving to KIVA for over 2 years. You can give as little as $25 – they keep you posted on how it’s getting paid back, and when it is, you can donate again, or they’ll send you a check!! They help 3rd world small business people – shopkeepers, etc. and you can pick from quite a list of who you want your money to go to. Just check them out on Google — KIVA — and you’ll get all their info. I love them.

Yes, indeed. At first I thought I would give more to our fabulous public radio station here but we already have $$ coming out automatically from the chequing account for them. So, I was pondering it calmly
In the middle of the night I woke up and remembered I had bookmarked the website through which the Congolese women are receiving support to rebuild their lives. $27/month -my Give account can do that easily. I also realized that I can place an ad on my website and blog directing others to the WomenforWomen.org website so they too can give. Then I went back to sleep

After 90 days, I’ll give 1/2 to my church. And the other 1/2 will go to an account to help a single mother with her legal fees to get her son back from a father that illegally took him out of state. I’m so thankful to God for my wonderful, healthy, grandchildren/step-grandchildren, and the fact they are all still with their families, safe and sound.
I’ll give my money to Kiva entrepeneurs. And the first loan will be tonight (monday 14th september). I will receive my first paycheck at the end of this month, so all the money that comes in now is from different sources. Feels good to know the Universe is supporting my new way of thinking.
I have been giving money along the way to a variety of groups but my goal has been to give systematically. Just as systematically as I pay my credit card bills. I give to my church; new life ministries(newlife.org) because it strives to serve emotional, spiritual, and physical needs through their radio show, conferences and a hotline, 1-800-NEWLIFE. I like their humility.
I have also been giving to intouch.org. I gave to a friend with financial challenges with a short sale. I gave to a college scholarship fund.
Three of the above are month to month. I want to get more organized about it. I enjoy supporting people/groups working on behalf of others.
